Why we do the prep and the paint together

A lot of painters will not patch. A lot of plasterers will not paint. The customer ends up coordinating 2 trades, paying 2 callout fees, and hoping the finish lines up. Half the time it does not, because the painter is working over patches that were never sanded flush.

Polytechnitis does both for 1 reason. The finish only looks right when the prep and the paint are done by the same team, in the right order, with the same eye on the wall. A patch that has been sanded properly, primed properly, and feathered into the surrounding surface disappears under the roller. A patch that has been rushed shows through every coat. This is the part of the job that most customers do not see and most quotes do not price. We do not skip it.

Being straight about scope

Painting and plaster work runs from quick patch jobs through to full-house repaints with spray equipment and scaffolding. Polytechnitis works the middle of that range, residential interior and small exterior. Jobs that need scaffolding, spray rigs, or specialist heritage work sit outside what we offer, and a dedicated painting contractor is the right call for those.
